Respite Care
Residential respite care gives an older person or their carer a break from their usual care arrangements. Eligible clients are entitled to 63 days of respite care in a financial year. This can be extended by up to another 21 days if an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) approves it.
What We Provide
At Isomer Aged Care Facility short-term respite care is available to support you and your carer. We generally plan the respite stay in advance and provide services that are tailored to meet your specific needs, We can also help you with planning a long-term plan of care if needed.
How to access Respite care
Your medical professional or GP can refer you to our palliative-care unit. We encourage you to speak with us so you can go over your choices and discover other options.
